Join us for a community open house
and information session
WHEN:
Thursday, November 5, 2026
WHERE:
Lorneville Community Centre,

Lorneville, Saint John, NB
TIME:

Beacon Data Centers and VoltaGrid invite residents to an open house on the proposed Spruce Lake Data Centre Hub, which includes a data centre, on-site natural gas power generation, and two underground natural gas pipelines within a shared corridor, connecting the facility to two existing regional natural gas systems.
The open house is part of the ongoing Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) approval process and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) review. Public feedback is encouraged during the open house and for 30 days following the session.
During the session, you'll have an opportunity to:
-
Learn about the proposed project, the proposed on-site natural gas generation facility, the proposed underground natural gas pipelines, and the review process.
-
Ask questions and provide feedback directly to the project team: Beacon Data Centers, VoltaGrid, and Stantec.
All are welcome, and advance registration is not required. Attendees will be asked to provide their name and contact information upon arrival.
Proposed Natural Gas Pipelines:
-
Two proposed underground natural gas pipelines, running parallel within a shared 40 m corridor and connecting to two existing regional natural gas systems: Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline Management Limited, Saint John Lateral, and the Emera Inc. Brunswick Pipeline.
-
Two routes for the shared corridor are being considered: the Proposed Route and the Alternative Route.
-
Only one route will ultimately be selected.
-
Approximately 4.5 km in length/12-inch diameter each
-
Not expected to cross residential property based on current preliminary routing
The project team will continue to share information, answer questions, and explain how it considers feedback as the proposed project moves forward.
